Black is the original colour of Labradors. Many also carry the yellow or chocolate colour gene and therefore there can be puppies of all three colours in one litter.
Some blacks are referred to as dominant or double black meaning they do not carry any other colour.
A brown tinge to the coat does not mean that the dog carries the chocolate gene.
There is no difference in temperament between any of the three colours of Labradors.
